The Urmston Partnership was set up 6 years ago to actively work towards the regeneration and promotion of the Urmston area. Made up of businesses, the local community and with the support of Trafford Council, the aim of the partnership is to create a successful town centre for the area. The main forum for the Partnership is the monthly meetings held generally on the last Tuesday of the month. The meetings are attended by traders, residents, the Urmston Area Manager, the Town Centre Liaison Officer and the Urmston Precinct Manager. At these meetings everyone can raise their concerns, offer suggestions and ideas, hear about developments etc. The current Chair is Bill Clarke. For residents and Voluntary Groups the cost of joining the partnership is £6 p.a. For local businesses the cost is £30 p.a. All members receive a full membership pack containing information on current and planned projects, useful Council contacts, back issues od the Urmston Partnership newsletter and Crime Prevention leaflets; plus invitations and updates for the Partnership meetings.
