Vote for local lad Tomski
Topic posted by Freespirit ... dated:02 March 2010
I am writing with a request for you help in supporting a young UK Snowboarder aged 9 from St Marys School Davyhulme. Tomski Robinson qualified in January to go over to France and compete against other European children for a place on the Quiksilver Team and a Chance of a lifetime experience to go to the  X Games in Tignes.

Ive attached a few links for you to find out a little of who he is, Chillfactore | Daily Mail

He went over to France and unfortunately on his first run he went over a huge kicker and had an accident and went into a backflip and landed on his face, knocking himself out and not allowing him to compete for the rest of the morning, but his passion and determination willed him to have a go in the afternoon with the other riders going off piste in the mountains in order to gain to some footage for his video even with his confidence knocked some he went on.

The videos should of all gone on line last week, but due to the camera man being off, Tomski's video didnt manage to get on and the voting went ahead regardless, today his video is going live on the website.

There are 2 ways to get to the X Games..  the first being nominated as one of the top 11 by the company, this wont happen due to his accident, but we still have a chance with the online voting system, so far the other riders have over 2000 votes, and we are hoping with your help you could get our British readers to back a UK rider and get him on his way to the X Games, by clicking on his profile and clicking the black bubble which says vote !!

The video they have uploaded does not show his talent and so here are some links so you can see a little of what he does and why he qualified in the first place: Youtube1 | Youtube2 | Youtube3

Every Little helps, and we hope you will too.

Just a thought, but would you like me to try and assist in getting Tomski some more publicity to help with him collecting votes?

Drop me an email if you do: james.wibberley@trafford.gov.uk

Hi, he's got my vote.
Great to see a local kid so into boarding and so skilled at such a young age, I used to go to Rossendale myself when I was a kid. His Youtube stuff is awesome, pity Quicksilver seem to have stuffed him with a rubbish clip on their voting page.
When does the voting period end??
