Does anybody have any ideas on anything else we, as a football club can do to attract more of the football loving people of Flixton, Urmston and Davyhulme to support their local team?? We play great football, have a great chance of winning the North West Counties League this year. The pitch is fantastic, the atmosphere is friendly and lively (lots of singing without the swearing), pie peas and gravy £1.30, cheap bar!!! any ideas on increasing the support level down at shawe view (behind bird in hand pub)would be very welcome. Check out traffordfc.co.uk

Well done to Trafford last night, some good football and a well deserved win over Flixton.
However, having not visited Flixtons ground for several years I was very disappointed by the condition of the facilities. Seats were broken, the floor was scattered with broken bottles and glasses and metal bars protruding from the floor and I don't think the floor has seen a brush in over 12 months....
All very worrying, especially with the number of young children around.
It makes you appreciate the effort that goes into keeping Shawe View the place it is, well done.

Its £6 on the turnstile for an adult and you can get one child in with you (under 11) any more than one child and you may get charged £3.
You can get a decent mug of tea/coffee/chocolate for 50p and the usual burgers and hot dogs are also on sale.
Some under cover seating if the weather's not great. Toilets and a bar if you fancy a pint.

At last Trafford FC have a new main sponsor. Now let's have some new supporters along with our new manager!
Go to traffordfc.co.uk for news of
pre-season friendlies and all fixtures for the new season in the Unibond Div 1 North. Come on Urmston, (and Flixton & Davyhulme) give the Presidents cup winners the support they deserve.

In answer, I believe that Ged has left Trafford and awaits a suitable job to come up elsewhere. I've heard he became frustrated. Whilst manager, they won two trophies in two years so he decided to quit whilst he's ahead. New manager appointed now so that's history and we need to look forward.

Well done to Trafford FC in getting to the final of the Presidents Cup final. It gives the club another chance to get some silverware after winning the league last year. An entertaining game last night against Mossley in the semi final and well worth the admission money. Good luck in the final whenever it is.

Hi Matt, I've seen the website, it was only the times that were missing. I'm trying to drum up a bit of interest with the under 8's I coach at Meadowside. Its a lot easier on the pocket than the local reds or blues but equally as entertaining and great for the lads to see real football. Already looking forward to Boxing Day when you play Salford FC...
