This is going to sound very lazy of me, but I'm considering hiring a domestic cleaner. Can anyone recommend one in the Urmston area?

Hi,
I would be interested in cleaning for anyone who needs me.
I currently have a few cleaning jobs and also offer a take away ironing service ( I take your ironing away and return it ironed.)
I charge £ 8.00 per hour for the cleaning and will do all jobs cleaning windows (inside), hoovering, moping, bathrooms, kitchens. Full cleans or spring cleans no problem.
If anyone is interested please give me a call 07740 202011.

I use a company called 'Kingsmaid', I know that you said you would prefer not to use a company but the two regular girls that visit are great. I did go through a few teams before I was happy but now that we are six months in, they are great! I run two business from home as well as having 3 kids so I am in when they call but I would recommend the company. Start as you mean to go on, tell them that you are a stickler for attention to detail ( I complained about the first 'Spring Clean' as it wasn't a good standard...apparently they saw a tidy house and thought it was a clean house! However, they sent another team and it was redone to a high standard)
They come once a fortnight and this enables me to keep on top of things the rest of the time.

Hello all, I've only just been told my company have been recommended on this site and have to say a big THANKYOU to Mary and anyone else that has mentioned us. My names Jackie, I have run a Housekeeping support business from my Davyhulme home for the last 5 years. We work on the principle that anyone that needs help can have it, with a special discounted rate for the elderly and disabled. We provide you with your own regular local homehelper (who are permanently employed by us) either as a one off spring clean or for a regular visit each week. All our ladies are keyholders as well as CRB checked and we have all the relevant insurances. We are a small company that provide local friendly reliable staff, we do housework, shopping, ironing, we take elderly out to the shops etc theres a long list of services we can provide, see our website: www.homehelpers.org.uk or give us a ring on 0161 613 0685, also to any cleaners on here that have no more slots open, feel free to pass on my details, regards, Jackie

Have you tried putting a card in your local newsagents advertising the job. You usually find that's a good source.

Hi
Apart from the people mentioned below can anyone else recommed a cleaner for a person who works from home. It seems to be putting people off if I'm at home albiet it working hard from a desk!
I am willing to pay the going rate but wont pay 'cash in hand'.
I'm getting desperate for the help at the moment as work is so busy it makes sense to delagate the cleaning instead of my job!
Any suggestions?
PS. I have tried the individual cleaner mentioned on here but she never got back to me.............maybe its because I'm at home and some people prefer to work without the client at home.

I used to have a cleaner and she was so unreliable. Her attendance rate was about 50% and the excuses she came out with were pretty inc readable. Am looking myself for a replacement and prepared to pay £9 per hour but want someone with references and who is reliable. Anyone know anyone who is looking for a job?

I too got the Maid2Clean leaflet but we have a woman from Selclene and have done for the last year. We have her for 3 hours each fortnight and that works out well for us.

Hi again all,
Karan's not well and can't make it for a while. So no cleaner again.
Sukirider, if you could get in touch, assuming you are still looking for cleaning jobs that is. My number's 07795 180 661.
If anyone else can help - JD, for example - a call would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark
