Come along to Humphrey Park Community Centre on Tuesday mornings at 9.45 - 10.45 for a fun and effective hula hoop aerobics class. We use Adult sized, weighted hoops for a good, low / medium impact workout and then spend some time learning tricks and moves to wow our friends with. No worries if you've never hooped before we'll show you how to get going (I learnt when I was 35). Hooping builds core strength, develops coordination and tones the whole body and is amazingly effective at targetting excess around the waist and stomach (esp mummy tummys, christmas bulge). Wear comfortable clothing, we provide the hula hoops. Classes are £5.00 per session, no need to book in advance or £50 for a term (12 sessions).

Breakthrough - PND peer support group

Our group was set up in nov 2010 by myself (Sharon) who has had severe PND, anxiety and post traumatic stress so Suretsart and I found that there was nothing available and especially as it is so common. We are open every Tuesday 1pm-3pm in the creche at the above address, and it is all free. You can drop in at any time and children of all ages welcome. You don't have to be a sufferer you may be a friend/relative/partner of someone who has suffered.

The Gwyneth Hare School of Dancing is the only local school to offer training in the Royal Academy Of Dance Syllabus. Many pupils have gone on to perform professionally in shows such as Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Spirit of the Dance, Fame & Billy Elliot. Lots of classes on offer for beginners to pre professionals - Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Streetdance, Zumba, Riverdancing and Musical Theatre. All staff are fully qualified. Gwyneth is an advanced member of the Royal Academy of Dance and also a Fellow and Examiner of the IDTA.
